The Office of the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Chatra (Welfare Branch) has issued a corrigendum regarding selection of teachers for Welfare Department residential schools operating in Chatra district. The recruitment is being conducted as an immediate arrangement on Service Procurement basis against vacant posts due to shortage of teachers.
The recruitment relates to teaching requirements in Scheduled Tribe Residential Boys Higher Secondary School, Lalgalong; Scheduled Caste Residential Girls Higher Secondary School, Itkhori; and PVTG Residential Primary Schools at Hurung, Kundri and Pratappur in Chatra district. Applications for hourly/period-based teachers were originally invited through Notice No. 974 dated 21.08.2026.
As per the corrigendum, the earlier last date for receipt of applications was 06 September 2026 up to 4:00 PM. The District Administration has now extended the application period, and applications can be received through registered post at the District Welfare Office, Chatra up to 16 September 2026 at 4:00 PM. All other terms and conditions mentioned in the original notice dated 21.08.2026 will remain unchanged.
