Project Title:
Microseismic Wave Detection in Coal Mines Using Fiber Optic Geophones for Artificial Intelligence-Based Structural Health Monitoring
Job Description:
The project focuses on development of Fiber Optic Geophones for detection of microseismic waves in coal mines and AI-based structural health monitoring.
The selected candidate will work on optical geophone design, related software, data collection and development of AI/ML algorithms for signal processing and model development.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess:
- M.Tech / M.E. / M.S. in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Optical / Opto-Electronics;
OR
- M.Sc. / M.Sc.Tech in Physics / Electronics or equivalent degree with minimum First Class or above.
Candidates must have qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET.
Desirable Skills:
- COMSOL
- Machine Learning
- Python
- MATLAB
Age Limit:
Age and relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
Fellowship:
₹37,000 per month + HRA as applicable.
Project Tenure:
12 Months or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
The position may also be converted into a regular JRF position of IIT (ISM) at any point, subject to Institute rules.
