JBVNL VUSNF Second Member Recruitment 2026:
Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) has invited applications from eligible and experienced professionals for appointment to the post of Second Member in the Vidyut Upbhokta Shikayat Nivaran Forum (VUSNF) on contract basis.
The recruitment has been issued under Advertisement No. 01/2026 (VUSNF) and will be governed by the applicable JSERC Guidelines for Establishment of Forum for Redressal of Grievances of the Consumers, Electricity Ombudsman and Consumer Advocacy Regulations, 2020 and subsequent amendments.

Scope of Work:
The Second Member will be responsible for redressal of grievances of consumers of JBVNL through the Vidyut Upbhokta Shikayat Nivaran Forum.
Eligibility – Electrical / Technical Route:
The applicant should possess a degree in any of the following:
- Electrical Engineering;
- Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering; or
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
The candidate should also have at least 20 years of experience in the transmission, distribution and trading of electricity.
The candidate should be or should have been at least a Superintending Engineer / DGM or equivalent in an organisation engaged in the business of transmission, distribution or trading of electricity.
Eligibility – Finance Route:
Alternatively, the applicant should possess:
- CA / ICWA; or
- MBA Finance from a recognised University.
The candidate should have at least 20 years of experience and knowledge of Accounts & Finance in a Government Department / Commercial Public Undertaking, including the power sector.
The candidate should have served in a grade not below the rank of DGM (F&A) of the State Government or equivalent post.
Eligibility of Serving JBVNL Officers:
Officers serving in JBVNL in a grade not below the rank of DGM (Technical / Finance) or equivalent with at least 20 years of experience may also apply.
However, if selected, such candidates will be required to relinquish their present employment.
Age Limit:
The applicant must have attained a minimum age of 45 years and should not be more than 62 years as on 01 August 2026.
Period of Appointment:
The appointment will initially be for a period of 03 years.
The tenure may be extended for a further period of up to 02 years on satisfactory service, or until the candidate attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Salary / Honorarium:
For a Second Member who has retired from service, the monthly salary/honorarium will be equivalent to:
Last Pay Drawn minus Pension.
For members who are not receiving pension, the monthly honorarium will be equal to the last pay drawn.
Dearness Allowance and House Rent Allowance will be admissible as per orders issued by the State Government from time to time.
Other Benefits:
- Reimbursement of petrol/diesel vouchers up to 100 litres per month.
- TA/DA as per applicable State Government / Company orders.
- Casual leave and holidays as per applicable State Government / Company policies.
Important Service Condition:
The appointed Second Member shall not hold any other office of profit during his/her tenure.
