Seraikela-Kharsawan General Duty Medical Officer Recruitment 2026:
Office of the Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer, Seraikela-Kharsawan has invited eligible doctors to attend a Walk-in Interview for 02 General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) posts on contractual basis.
The recruitment is being undertaken with the objective of strengthening and improving healthcare services in mining-affected areas of the district, with remuneration being provided from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) fund.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree from an institution recognised by the Medical Council of India and should have completed the prescribed one-year compulsory internship.
The candidate must also be registered with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.
Salary & Benefits:
The selected General Duty Medical Officer will receive a gross salary of ₹1,00,000 per month.
- Annual Increment: 3%
- An additional 10% amount will be admissible where the doctor resides within the prescribed 3 km radius of the Hospital/Health Centre, as mentioned in the recruitment conditions.
Place of Posting:
The selected candidates will initially be posted at Sadar Hospital, Seraikela.
Nature of Duties:
The General Duty Medical Officer will perform duties including:
- OPD services
- Indoor patient services
- Roster-based duties
- Emergency Duty
- Medico-Legal work
- Other duties assigned by the competent authority
Contract Period:
The engagement will initially be for one year from the date of joining. Further extension may be considered on the basis of work performance and approval of the competent authority.
The appointment is purely contractual and need-based and will not create any claim for regular appointment in future.
