• Fresh Law Graduate/Post Graduate from a University/College recognised by the Bar Council of India.
• Students studying in the 5th year of a 5-year Law Course or final year of a 3-year Law Course may also apply, subject to passing the final year LL.B. examination before engagement.
• Candidates must have passed all examinations in the first attempt with at least 60% aggregate marks.
• Familiarity with computers will be given preference in selection.
• A practicing Lawyer's candidature must be recommended by a designated Senior Advocate.
• For an applicant other than a Lawyer, recommendation must be given by the Head of the last Law School/College/University attended.
• Candidates pursuing a Post Graduate Degree in Law or any other degree/programme requiring compulsory attendance are not eligible for engagement.

Jharkhand High Court Law Researcher / Research Associate Recruitment 2026:

High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement of 25 Law Researchers / Research Associates on a contractual basis under Advertisement No. 01/Recruitment Cell/2026.

Educational Qualification:

Fresh Law Graduates/Post Graduates from a University or College recognised by the Bar Council of India are eligible to apply. Students studying in the 5th year of a 5-year Law Course or final year of a 3-year Law Course are also eligible, subject to passing the final year LL.B. examination before engagement.

Remuneration & Tenure:

Each Law Researcher / Research Associate will receive a consolidated ₹40,000 per month as honorarium/stipend. The contractual engagement will initially be for one year and may be extended once for another year. The maximum period of engagement will be two years.

Nature of Work:

Law Researchers / Research Associates will assist the Hon'ble Judges of the High Court in judicial and administrative work, including legal research, searching relevant case laws, preparing case summaries and notes, research on citations, assistance in preparation of judgments, proof reading and other legal research work assigned by the Hon'ble Judge.

Candidates should download the prescribed application form from the official website of the High Court of Jharkhand. The duly filled application form along with scanned copies of the required enclosures must be combined into a single PDF file not exceeding 10 MB and submitted through e-mail.

Applications can be submitted through e-mail only from 07 September 2026 to 28 September 2026. Candidates are not required to send a physical printout of the application form or documents to the High Court.

• Marksheets of all semesters/years of Law Graduation and Post Graduation, if applicable.
• Provisional/Original Degree Certificate of Law Graduation and Post Graduation, if applicable.
