DLSA Chatra Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) Recruitment 2026
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chatra has released an official notification inviting applications for engagement of Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs). The engagement is intended to strengthen legal aid services and create awareness among weaker and marginalized sections of society by assisting the District Legal Services Authority in various legal literacy and welfare activities.
A total of 20 Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) positions are available. Eligible candidates who have passed Matriculation (10th) and are committed to social service may submit their applications in the prescribed format through Registered Post, Speed Post, Courier or by hand on or before 12 August 2026 (04:30 PM).
The engagement of Para Legal Volunteers is purely voluntary in nature. Selected volunteers will receive an honorarium as per the norms of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA)/District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and will assist in legal awareness programmes, legal aid camps and other activities assigned by the Authority.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the District Legal Services Authority in legal awareness programmes.
- Create awareness regarding legal rights among weaker and marginalized sections.
- Support legal aid camps and outreach activities.
- Help eligible persons access free legal services and government welfare schemes.
- Perform duties assigned by DLSA/JHALSA from time to time.
Honorarium
Para Legal Volunteers will receive an honorarium of ₹750 per working day for a maximum of 08 working days in a month, as per the prevailing norms of JHALSA/DLSA. No other salary, allowance or employment benefits shall be admissible.

- The application should be submitted in the prescribed format only.
- The name "Application for Para Legal Volunteer" should be clearly written on the envelope.
- Applicants must attach self-attested copies of educational, residential, caste (if applicable), date of birth certificates, two passport-size photographs and a self-addressed envelope with ₹55 postage stamp.
- The engagement is purely voluntary and temporary.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
