Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad has invited applications for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a sponsored research project supported by TexMiN Foundation.
The project is titled “AI-Empowered Multiscale Framework for Sustainable Rare-Earth Element Recovery from Secondary Resources” and is being carried out under IIT (ISM) Project No. SRDP 1320 G.
The research focuses on developing an AI-enabled multiscale framework for sustainable recovery of rare-earth elements (REEs) from secondary resources such as mine tailings, fly ash, industrial residues and electronic waste.
The work includes data collection and curation, machine learning model development, DFT and molecular dynamics simulations, experimental validation, resource characterisation, process optimisation and multiscale modelling of extraction mechanisms.
The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA as applicable. The project tenure is 18 months or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
