Office of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Gumla has invited applications for temporary engagement of 20 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT Guest Teachers) for four newly established Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Gumla district.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognised institution along with the prescribed teacher-training qualification such as B.Ed. / four-year integrated B.Ed. qualification.
Candidates should have qualified CTET Paper-II for Classes VI-VIII conducted by CBSE.
CTET/STET Provision: If suitable CTET-qualified candidates are not available, candidates qualified in STET may be considered as provided in the notification.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 60 Years
- Retired Teachers: Maximum 65 Years
Retired teachers from Government schools, NESTS/NVS/KVS and CBSE-affiliated schools may also apply subject to the conditions prescribed in the notice.
Honorarium:
The selected Guest Teachers will be paid honorarium/remuneration according to the rates approved by NESTS / State EMRS Society. The notification does not specify a fixed monthly amount.
Selection Process:
Applications will first be scrutinised and a list of eligible candidates will be prepared. Eligible candidates will thereafter be considered through a Walk-in Interview / Skill Test.
The date and time of interview for shortlisted/eligible candidates will be communicated separately. The notification presently mentions 12 October 2026 as the tentative date for Walk-in Interview/Skill Test.
Nature of Engagement:
The appointment is purely temporary and will ordinarily continue only until a regular teacher assumes charge. Engagement as Guest Teacher will not create any right to regular appointment or regularisation.
The working hours of Guest Teachers will be the same as regular teachers. Since EMRS institutions are residential schools, selected teachers may also be required to perform duties beyond normal teaching hours whenever necessary.
A selected candidate will ordinarily have to join the concerned school within 10 days, failing which another candidate from the waiting list may be considered.
