District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Ranchi, under the Social Security Cell and Mission Vatsalya Scheme, invites offline applications for the contractual post of Counsellor. This is a Jharkhand Government contractual job opportunity for eligible postgraduates in Social Work or Psychology.

Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
- Proficiency in computer work, Hindi typing and English typing is required.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- UR: Maximum 35 Years
- BC / EBC: Maximum 37 Years
- Women (UR): Maximum 38 Years
- SC / ST: Maximum 40 Years
- PwBD: Age relaxation as per the official notification.
Selection Procedure:
No interview will be conducted. A preliminary merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in academic qualifications:
- Matric: 20 Marks
- Intermediate: 20 Marks
- Graduation: 30 Marks
- Postgraduation: 30 Marks
Candidates up to five times the number of vacancies will be called for a computer Hindi and English typing proficiency test. Candidates must type at least 20 words per minute in Hindi and 30 words per minute in English with accuracy. Final selection will be based on merit.
