Project Title:
Deployment of Friction-Stir-Welded Al-Cu Interconnects for Shape-Engineered Structural Li-ion Battery Packs for Next-Generation Electric Vehicles.
Job Role:
The selected Project JRF will work on development and characterisation of friction-stir-welded lithium-ion battery modules for electric vehicle applications. The work includes material synthesis, electrochemical testing, microstructural analysis, electrical and thermal performance evaluation, laboratory experiments, data analysis, prototype fabrication and validation.
Essential Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree in Mechanical, Electronics or Computer Science, or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Material Science, Nanotechnology or Energy Sciences.
- OR Graduate / Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship, GATE, or eligible national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments, agencies or institutions.
Desirable Qualification:
M.Tech / PhD in Mechanical, CSE or Electronics, or M.Sc. / PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Energy Sciences or allied fields. Knowledge of energy-storage materials, lithium-ion batteries, electrocatalysis, supercapacitors and electrochemical characterisation is desirable.
